Composed by Mauro Lanza and me, wonderfully played by mdi ensemble, brilliantly recorded and mixed by Paolo Brandi, published by Stradivarius, with an amazing cover from a work by Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca. We are all very happy of the Systema naturae CD. Some reviews are already coming.
We have recorded the entire cycle of Systema naturae, by me and Mauro Lanza. Recording took place as StudiumLab, University of Torino, with the help of the School of Electronic Music, Conservatory of Torino. Rec by Paolo Brandi and Giorgio Casati. Stradivarius will issue a CD for the end of the year by mdi ensemble.
Together with Mauro Lanza we’ve been invited to play Regnum lapideum for the IRCAM season hosted at Centre Pompidou, played by Ensemble 2e2m. Some info here. Pics courtesy of Herve Provini here.
mdi ensemble wonderfully played the whole Systema naturae cycle that I co-composed with Mauro Lanza at Fabbrica del vapore, Milano, 11/10/18, a production by RepertorioZero. Incredible sold out! We also had the chance to discuss with Marco Ferraguti (Italian translator of my cult author S.J. Gould). Pics here. A very interesting review by Renato Rivolta is here.
With Mauro Lanza and Simone Pappalardo we had an incredible week in Chaux-de-Fond (CH) for the Les Amplitudes festival. With Mauro we performed the whole Systema naturae cycle and then with Simone we played an improvisation setting under the Otosimbionte moniker. Some pics are here
We performed Systema Naturae (the whole cycle of 4 pieces I co-wrote with Mauro Lanza) at Schaumbad, Graz, with wonderful Schallfeld Ensemble. In the occasion, we gave a couple of lecture at Uni and at IEM.
With Mauro Lanza we had the pleasure to play our whole cycle System naturae, including the three Regna plus the premiere of the final episode, Fossilia, at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Berlin on June 19 with the amazing ensemble mosaik. A huge but rewarding amount of work, surrounded by dinosaurs. Pics collected here.
