I’m in charge of music production for Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca’s new multimedia performance, Ultraorbism, a collaboration between Barcelona and Falmouth. And so, having fun in creating all sorts of bizarre objects to be played live.

I’ve been invited by Annalisa Pascai Saiu and Michele Anelli to play at Border, TO, for their Noise Delivery series. So, I tested this sort of Sho organ made up of 12 flutes. Worked fine! Here some shots by Isabella Indiesigh and a video excerpt.

On Oct 24 we had great time in Paris with Soundinitiative collective playing Regnum animale in St Merri church, coorganised by La muse en circuit. Some pics here, a couple of videos by Soundinitiative here and here.

On 20-22 October 2014, I’ll be in Rome for the XX CIM – Colloquio di Informatica Musicale, organised by AIMI. I’ll present three papers:
And we’ll also present the new book I co-edited with Stefano Bassanese: “Enore Zaffiri. Saggi e materiali”.
See AIMI site for proceedings and Zaffiri page.

We will present a talk at SMC|ICMC joint conference about our project SoDA – Sound Design Accelerator, that is aimed at the automatic generation of soundscape from an annotated sound library as an aid to sound designer. The project is funded by Regione Piemonte on its Multimedia innovation programme. SoDA is lead by me at CIRMA, and includes Machiavelli, Celi, ZerodB. Marinos Koutsomichalis will present the talk. Special thanks also to my partner Paolo Armao.

My new project with Mauro Lanza, “Regnum vegetabile”, for sextet and electro-mechanical objects, has been performed in Darmstadt, at Ferienkurse, and in Berlin, at Berghain. Commissioned and wonderfully played by Ensemble Mosaik. Looking forward to playing new concerts.
Some shots here, and a live recording here.

As SMET (School of Electronic Music of Conservatorio of Torino) and CIRMA/DAMS we organised a concert for disklavier and various setups. I participated with Orologio da rote (2014) for disklavier and 3 radios, a piece-installation dedicated to the notion of clocks and hours signals. Here some pics.

A piece from my album Vedute della Luna scritte in Braille has been broadcast on France Musique’s Electromania show by David Jisse, Christian Zanesi, Christophe Bourseiller. C’est magnifique! Thanks to Nephogram/Franz Rosati.

With Simone Pappalardo we designed and create the Otosimbionte installation, a feedback system with some computational elements, mostly based on DYI analog electronics. Otosimbionte keeps changing and singing while going.

On Jan 19th, I’ve been invited by Matteo Bordone and Fabrizia Brunati as a guest at Mu, broadcast by the Italian national radio, Rai Radio 2. We discussed about physical computing and I made a demo with Rumentarium. Big fun!
Here some pics by Fabrizia Brunati. Here the podcast.
