A recording of Detti del tuono, fr G-flute and mechanical percussion, has been played at the GASP SuperCollider Symposium, held by Jeremy van Buskirk at GASP, Boston. Hurray.

In the occasion of the SC workshop, we agreed that some fun was mandatory. You’re all invited to the Live Impro Party at Studiomars, via Tiziano 35, TO. Tue 13, from 10pm. (Helas, Franz would not join us).

The VEP project in NY has been reviewed by The Wire, March 2010.
It seems that the audio processing stuff I implemented worked fine: “the digital manipulation of the original sound material was admirable and effective”.

I’m presenting an analysis of Bergman’s The Hour of the Wolf at the conference dedicated to Bergman here at Uni TO. That flm is an impressive achievement: I’ll try to show how much also from a sonic “point of hear”

Having written a (little) book on the subject, I’ve been asked by the Ultracorpi collective to present Coppola’s The Conversation. One of the best film ever produced. At Cinema Massimo, Museo Nazionale del Cinema, Torino, Friday February 19, 8.30 pm. Thanks Ultracorpi! It will be a pleasure to see TC on screen.

Here some shots from NY. Great success (and so much fun). (Maybe L.A.? Let’s see)

We’ll be in NY on Jan 15 2010 presenting the VEP project (virtual reconstruction of Philips Pavilion, including Varèse’s Poème électronique and Xenakis’ Concret PH) on a screen/multichannel setup for a big Xenakis event. It’s an EMF production. We’ll spatialize audio through 8 channels, thanks to SuperCollider.
See announcement here.
