For the record, we’ve been invited by the Harvard Group for New Music to intervene at their Monday Colloquium. The zoom call should be sooner or later available (maybe)
This happened on May 21st, thanks to the invitation of Alessandro Bratus for his course on Popular music. Let’s hope we can work together on an ongoing project.
We wanted to wait the end of the trilogy, bu these are hard times…So, here we are with two albums under the Arto fantasma name, out on my bandcamp. All live in studio.
During this pandemic I’ve worked on the Unreal Book, an algorithmically generated version of the Real Book. I’ve presented a paper and a video presentation at SMC2021
Composed by Mauro Lanza and me, wonderfully played by mdi ensemble, brilliantly recorded and mixed by Paolo Brandi, published by Stradivarius, with an amazing cover from a work by Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca. We are all very happy of the Systema naturae CD. Some reviews are already coming.
We played live the music I wrote for impressive film Maciste (1915) , thanks to the support of Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino. We’ve been asked by the National Museum of Cinema to create a sound installation in the occasion of the exhibition #FacceEmozioni. So, together with Stefano Bassanese we thought about a sort of organ to listen to passions as described in the history of cinema, Organum pineale. Final design and realization by Guglielmo Diana, Luca Martone and Matteo Marson.
We have recorded the entire cycle of Systema naturae, by me and Mauro Lanza. Recording took place as StudiumLab, University of Torino, with the help of the School of Electronic Music, Conservatory of Torino. Rec by Paolo Brandi and Giorgio Casati. Stradivarius will issue a CD for the end of the year by mdi ensemble.
