We’ve been asked by the National Museum of Cinema to create a sound installation in the occasion of the exhibition #FacceEmozioni. So, together with Stefano Bassanese we thought about a sort of organ to listen to passions as described in the history of cinema, Organum pineale. Final design and realization by Guglielmo Diana, Luca Martone and Matteo Marson.
We have recorded the entire cycle of Systema naturae, by me and Mauro Lanza. Recording took place as StudiumLab, University of Torino, with the help of the School of Electronic Music, Conservatory of Torino. Rec by Paolo Brandi and Giorgio Casati. Stradivarius will issue a CD for the end of the year by mdi ensemble.
I’ve been playing at Superbudda as a guest with the wonderful Millis() project by friends Simone Pappalardo and José Angelino. New setup with two zithers and electromechanical bottles.

mdi ensemble wonderfully played the whole Systema naturae cycle that I co-composed with Mauro Lanza at Fabbrica del vapore, Milano, 11/10/18, a production by RepertorioZero. Incredible sold out! I’ve been invited to participate in Theatrum Botanicum by Almare at PAV, Parco Arte Vivente, Torino. In the occasion, Almare presented a booklet dedicate to Systema naturae and, in the occasion, I rebuild my good ole Rumetarium setup. Pics here.
With an incredible quartet made up of Federico Marchesano and Stefano Risso (double basses), Dario Bruna (drums) and Enrico Degani (guitars), plus Carlo Barbagallo as a producer, we sonorized at Mole Antonelliana in Torino, as a collaboration with Museo Nazionale del Cinema, Il jockey della morte, a silent film from 1915. I’ve been invited to discuss algorithmic composition and automatic notation at the Conservatorio D. Cimarosa in Avellino. It’s been a very nice occasion to introduce some experiences I developed since 2005.
With Mauro Lanza and Simone Pappalardo we had an incredible week in Chaux-de-Fond (CH) for the Les Amplitudes festival. With Mauro we performed the whole Systema naturae cycle and then with Simone we played an improvisation setting under the Otosimbionte moniker. Some pics are here
