I will in Bassano from 30/08/12 to 01/09/12 with Organo Fonatorio, a sort of interactive loudspeaker driven organ for the Passengers exhibit, curated by Francesco Liggieri of No title Gallery, in the occasion of Infart Festival 6. Let’s see what happens!
I’m proudly presenting Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca‘s new work Pseudo, to be premiered on Thu 24 July at Mercat de les Flors for the Grec Festival, in Barcelona. An impressive mechatronic peformance featuring a polar bear, a mechanical head, a miniprojector helmet, loudspeaker tits, 3 screens, a guncam, four channel audio, of course interactive and in real time, (not to speak of pressure carpets and the usual exoskeleton). I made some 20 pieces, interactive, working in real time, on four channels, and developed the software structure for interconnecting the music application to the other (many) software components used in the performance. Of course, entirely developed in SuperCollider.
I’m very happy to announce that my new (old) album Acta GeoGraphica is out for Ripples, that collects my electronic works based on the GeoGraphy algorithmic environment from 2001 to 2007. A special thanks to Ennio Mazzon is due.
On monday I’ll start working on Marcel.lí Antunez Roca‘s new work Pseudo, a re-work/reprise of Cotrone, but with a lot of new impressive stuff. And so, back to Barna!
The Quadratonomade project is host in the Conservatory of Latina from 22/05/12 to 1/6/12. The selected works include my Libro delle cento generazione. Thank you sirs.
In the same occasion, Susanna Legrenzi asked me to join the “Objects (in the name of love)” event chez Walter Voulaz boutique located in via Manzoni, an exhibition of affective objects. In the occasion, I will lend the exposition my fetish object, the Japanese tumbler toy that so well represents the music: “The composer makes plans, music laughs” (M. Feldman).
I’ve been asked by Stefano Maffei and Susanna Legrenzi to participate to the Making Together event, powered by Logotel for the Milano Design Week on April 17-22.
I will present the new “Machina logotelica”, an installation resulting from an assemblage of scavenged stuff (rumentarium style, ça va sans dire…), motors, hair driers, radioclocks. Custom hardware based on audio control will be used (thanks Guru Francesco Richiardi!)
On March 27/28, together with Stefano Bassanese, we organized a two-day seminar dedicated to Italian pioneer of electronic music Enore Zaffiri. In the occasion, we discussed his opus and dedicated him a concert with electronic and instrumental music. I played my reconstructed version of Zaffiri’ 1968 masterpiece “Musica per un anno” on four channels. Some shots here.
We played with the Institute for the Very, Very Nervous (Gandolfo Pagano, prepared guitar, Nino Secchia, percussion, Dario Sanfilippo, laptop) at Goethe Institut in Palermo for the Curva Minore festival. Our special guest was Thomas Lehn. We started with Cage’s Sculptures Musicales and ended with a great impro gig.
I had the pleasure to be invited to participate to the NA-TO vs NATO project, aimed at crossbreeding the impro scenes from Turin and Naples. So here a track from the gig with the DISPNEA duo from Naples composed by Pako-P and Fabrizio Elvetico.
NATO at Café des Artes
I was playing bass and samples. Totally free, of course.
